For over a year now Esk Moors Caring, with Jamie Risato, have run a weekly circuit based keep fit class in Glaisdale. The class has proven so popular that a second weekly class is now running in Danby Village Hall.

Jamie has many qualifications in nutrition, sports and exercise science, personal training, exercise referrals and remedial massage. All this knowledge and experience makes him a great choice for helping people to get into or improve their fitness.

“I aim to assist people in improving their fitness ” says Jamie.

The keep fit classes are based on the circuit concept of training – but not in the traditional sense! The classes are suitable for both men and women of all ages and abilities.

The gym sessions normally consist of a good warm up, followed by several different exercises that are carried out for 30 or 40 seconds, before moving onto the next exercise. There can be up to 15 different exercises to try in the session, which change from week to week. The exercises focus on legs, abdominals, arms, back, core strength, etc and give a full body workout. The session ends with stretches and a cool down.

If you fancy giving it a go come along to either The Robinson Institute in Glaisdale on Monday evenings 6pm – 7pm or Danby Village Hall on Wednesday evening 6.15pm – 7.15pm
